DBAG Class 483
The Class 483 and Class 484 are electric multiple unit Train types on order by Deutsche Bahn for use on the Berlin S-Bahn system. They are scheduled to enter service in 2021.Formation

The aluminium bodyshells are built in Szolnok, with the final assembly taking place in Berlin. The bogies are derived from the Oslo Metro MX3000 trains. In order to comply with regulations aiding the visually impaired, the doors are black as a contrast to the train's sides.History
DB Regio subsidiary S-Bahn Berlin awarded a contract for the construction of 85 four-car and 21 two-car trains to a consortium of Stadler and Siemens in December 2015. A mock-up of the train was presented in October 2016, and the first completed Class 484 train was rolled out on June 27, 2018.
The trains are tested at the Test- and Validationcenter Wegberg-Wildenrath, with the first of five sets to be tested in Wegberg-Wildenrath arriving in late 2018. Trial runs on the Berlin S-Bahn network started in September 2019. Entry into service in scheduled for January 2021.
