Eurico Rosa da Silva
Eurico Rosa da Silva is a jockey based in Canada who competes in North American Thoroughbred horse racing.
Silva raced for five years in his native Brazil and another four years in Macau before coming to Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. A winner of seven hundred plus races, since coming to North America he has won more than one hundred and fifty races. As at September 27, 2008 he ranks sixth in wins and fifth in earnings at Woodbine and notably won two Graded stakes races at Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky and will likely ride those winners in October's Breeders' Cup. He got his big break in 2009 when he won the Queen's Plate, and won that race again in 2010. In 2016, he won the Woodbine Oaks, riding Neshama. In 2017, he won the Canadian International Stakes, riding horse Bullards Alley.
In 2019, he won the Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes, riding horse El Tormenta.
This year he announced his retirement from the race tracks. He said goodbye to his fans by winning the Valedictory Stakes, with the gelding Pumpkin Rumble.Year-end charts
