Eurostep
Eurostep is a network of autonomous European non-governmental development organisations working towards peace, justice and equality in a world free of poverty. Its membership, rooted in their own societies, works together to influence Europe's role in the world, particularly in pursuing the eradication of injustice and poverty.
It advocates changes in Europe's development policies and practice based on the perspectives drawn from direct experiences of an active involvement of its members and their partners in development in over 100 countries across the world.
Members of the network include NGOs such as Alliance Sud, ACSUR Las Segovias, CFSI, Concern, Deutsche Welthungerhilfe, FDSC, KEPA, Hivos, Mani Tese, Marie Stopes International, Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, Network of East West Women, OIKOS, Oxfam Novib, People in Need, Sloga, SNV, Terre des hommes and 11.11.11. Eurostep is also a member of CONCORD, the European NGO Confederation for Relief and Development.
While the Treaty of Lisbon is being ratified by the member states, Eurostep works a lot on the implications of the institutional reforms of the Treaty. The network advocates the reinforcement of the EU’s position as a global leader in development.
