Marriages and issue

• Georg married on 5 May 1661 to Dorothea Auguste of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Franzhagen, the daughter of John Christian, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Franzhagen. She died after giving birth her only child:

1. Stillborn daughter

• After Dorothea's death, he married on 21 July 1667 to Juliane Alexandrine of Leinigen-Heidenheim, the daughter of the Count Emich XIII of Leiningen. After George's death, she married Landgrave Charles of Hesse-Wanfried. With her, George had three daughters:

1. Sophie Juliane
2. Eleanore
3. Magdalene Sibylle
