Goshainganj also known as Gosainganj is a city and constituency in Ayodhya district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Goshainganj is one of the oldest market in Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh.A local Baruwar Rajput Taluqdar named Rai Ahankaari singh gave the glebe land near this current market to a saint whose name was Mahant Iccha Gosai the founder of market, due to which this market is today known as Gosainganj.
