Honey-roasted peanuts


Honey-roasted peanuts are a popular salt-, sugar- and honey-flavored peanut snack, offered as a product line by several prominent nut companies such as Planters and KingNut.

Production

The oven is preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit while butter and honey are heated together on a stovetop. Then, the peanuts are tossed into a bowl with the butter and honey until they are submerged. The peanuts are then transferred to a cookie sheet and baked for 5 to 10 minutes. The peanuts are checked on every 2–3 minutes to make sure all sides have turned golden brown. They are then removed from the oven, where they cool for 3 minutes. Salt or sugar is sprinkled on top for additional flavoring.

Honey-roasted peanuts are not as healthy as peanuts in their natural state, but they are still a fairly healthy snack option.
