Hyderabad-Karnataka
Kalyana Karnataka, is a region in the Indian state of Karnataka, which was part of Kingdom of Hyderabad ruled by the Nizams and the Madras presidency of British India. The region comprises Bidar, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal and Gulbarga of Hyderabad state and, Bellary of Madras that are in the present state of Karnataka. The Northeast-Karnataka region is the second largest arid region in India.) The largest city of the region is Gulbarga.
17 September 1948 was an important day in the history of Hyderabad as Karnataka state was merged into the Indian Union. The historical background of the movement started with a new era in Indian history.
The Hyderabad-Karnataka region was officially renamed as Kalyana-Karnataka in September 2019.
