Jody Adams (chef)


Jody Adams is an American chef and restaurateur. She owned and operated Rialto in Cambridge, Massachusetts for over 20 years. She is a James Beard Award winner.

Career

In 2011, Adams opened her second restaurant, TRADE, in the Waterfront area.
In July 2016, she opened Porto in Boston’s Back Bay.
Adams has a blog with Ken Rivard, she has a blog called The Garum Factory which provides recipes for the home cook and is illustrated with Rivard's photographs.

Biography

Adams attended Brown University and graduated with a degree in Anthropology.
Adams trained under Lydia Shire and Gordon Hamersley. She became executive chef at Michaela's in East Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1990 where she stayed until she opened Rialto in 1994.
Adams was a contestant on the second season of Top Chef Masters and received the James Beard Award in 1997.
