June James (physician)
June James is a Canadian pediatrician and professor.
James immigrated to Canada from Trinidad in 1960. She attended the University of Manitoba, earning a bachelor of science, bachelor of science in medicine and Doctor of Medicine.
She is an assistant professor at the University of Manitoba. She was president of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba from 2002 to 2003. She has served as president of the Manitoba Museum and president of the Manitoba Museum Foundation.
James is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Her other awards include YWCA Woman of the Year Award, Queen Elizabeth 50th Jubilee Medal, and the Order of Manitoba.
