Katy Mills is a one-story facility that sits on of land, located next to Typhoon Texaswater park was opened in the Memorial Day weekend of May 2016 and just off of Interstate 10 exit 741. The mall is built with a "racetrack" design and one complete pass around the mall on Katy Mills Cir. road is approximately. Popular department stores and anchors including AMC Theatres, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Books-A-Million, Burlington Coat Factory, H&M, Last Call by Neiman Marcus, XXI Forever, Marshalls, Off Broadway Shoes, Off Fifth Saks Fifth Avenue, Old Navy, Rainforest Cafe, Restoration Hardware Outlet, Ross Dress for Less, Sun and Ski Sports and Tilt Studio some of which relocated from SealyOutlet Center, which was supplanted by Katy Mills due to its distance from nearby Sealy. Its food court has Burger King, a carousel, and a rock climbing wall and a Disney Junior themed play area. Outside, various restaurants such as Red Lobster, Fuddruckers, T.G.I. Friday's, and Los Cucos surround the mall. There also exists an AMC Theatres movie theater with 20 theater rooms. In 2005, it was speculated that Harold-Powell would be closed and Neiman Marcus Last Call would be open in Neighborhood 3 and would remove promotional posters of the mall. In 2009, A Forever 21 outlet known as XXI Forever, opened between Neighborhoods 3 and 6. The mall featured a Johnny Rockets, which closed and became DC Shoes, which closed in 2015 and became Jared Vault. In 2012, Tilt Studio took over the old branding for F.Y.E. and opened in Neighborhoods 7 and 1. In 2014, Old Navy was relocated next to Burlington in Neighborhood 5 and its old location became H&M. On Summer 2016, Bed Bath and Beyond closed and became DR34M Home Rug and Design, which opened in early 2017 and became Restoration Hardware Outlet on October 2017. In 2018, Katy Mills launched a campaign known as The Katy Mill's 20th Anniversary Rebrand,, and it all started with a tile floor smash. The interior renovation was completed in 2019 and celebrated its 20th anniversary on October 28th and started to renovate the exteriors. Originally, the mall featured a Jillian's restaurant and entertainment center. It closed in 2004. and became Steve & Barry's, which closed in 2008 and it is now Jumpstreet and Segway Outback and it closed in 2019. It also featured an Off Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills, which closed in 2002 and became Midnight Rodeo, which closed in 2006. It became a Circuit City prototype called "The City", which opened and closed in 2008 and it is now Ross Dress for Less. The entire shopping mall is located within Fort Bend County, Texas, although a future anchor space and a small portion of the parking lot is located in neighboring Harris County. On July 7, 2020, it was announced that Neiman Marcus Last Call would be closing permanently
