Kill This Love


Kill This Love is the second Korean-language extended play by South Korean girl group Blackpink, released on April 5, 2019, by YG Entertainment and Interscope Records. It is their first Korean material since the release of Square Up in June 2018, and their debut release with Interscope Records. The title track was released as the lead single.

Background

YG Entertainment released a statement saying that the lead single would be more "intense" than previous Blackpink songs but have a "strong rhythm" like "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du", and that the video choreography would be more "dynamic" than previous efforts. It was also produced by four "world-class" choreographers.

Promotion

ES Digital began promoting the EP on March 25 with a teaser poster featuring Lisa. On March 26, Jennie's teaser poster was revealed. Jisoo's teaser poster was revealed the next day. Rosé's teaser poster was finally revealed on March 28. The official group teaser poster was revealed on March 29. The music video teaser was released on April 2.

Japanese version

The Japanese version was released through YGEX and Interscope, on October 16, 2019.
