Andress confirmed the album's track listing on March 5, 2020. She co-wrote and co-produced the entire album. The album’s lead single "More Hearts Than Mine" impacted country radio in July 2019. It was a top 5 hit on the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts, and it was certified Platinum by the RIAA on June 18, 2020. "The Stranger" was released on June 8, 2020 as the album's second single.

Critical reception

Marlo Ashley of Exclaim! rated the album 7 out of 10, stating that the album "sonically diverges from the country-pop norm; Andress's lyrical honesty adds a sentimental perspective that invites you to listen to something out of the ordinary and makes you crave more."
