Laila Goodridge


Laila Goodridge is a politician in Alberta, Canada, currently serving as Member of the Legislative Assembly. Goodridge was first elected in the 2018 Fort McMurray-Conklin by-election after MLA Brian Jean resigned and then she was re-elected in the 2019 Alberta general election to represent Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche in the 30th Alberta Legislature.

Political career

Goodridge stood as the Wildrose candidate in Grande Prairie-Wapiti in 2015, even though she lived in Fort McMurray at the time. She placed third.
A previous staffer for Brian Jean, she won the United Conservative nomination to succeed him as MLA for Fort McMurray-Conklin in 2018, and won the following by-election on July 12, 2018.

Personal life

Goodridge had experience in the oil and gas industry before going into politics.
