Moog Indigo
Moog Indigo is the eighth solo album by electronic music pioneer Jean-Jacques Perrey. It was released in 1970 on Vanguard Records, an independent label. The ninth selection, a cover of Beethoven's Turkish March called "The Elephant Never Forgets", was used as the theme song for El Chavo del Ocho. The song was the subject of a lawsuit against Mexican media giant Televisa, who was forced to pay Vanguard Records and Perrey for the use of the song for several years by Chespirito with neither royalty payments to Perrey and Vanguard, nor permission for its use. The case was settled in 2010.
Contrary to what some might expect, the title track bears no resemblance to the jazz standard "Mood Indigo".- "Soul City"
