Nottingham Free School
Nottingham Free School is a co-educational Free School which serves the areas of Sherwood, Carrington, Mapperley Park, Woodthorpe and Mapperley. The school is located in the Courtaulds building on Haydn Road and first opened in September 2014 with an initial intake of 79 Year Seven students, a number which has since grown to ~550 after six subsequent year group intakes. In September 2019, the school opened its new sixth form which took in its first year 12 cohort, with many former students staying within the school for post-16.
