Prabhakar (Telugu actor)


Prabhakar is an Indian film actor, known for his role as Inkoshi, king of the Kalakeyas in . He has starred in films like Maryada Ramanna, which won the Nandi Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for 2010, and Dongaata, starring Lakshmi Manchu and Adivi Sesh.

Early life

Prabhakar was born in Husnabad located in Siddipet district, Telangana, India. He studied in Husnabad and then shifted to Ananta Padmanabha college in Vikarabad. His wife Rajya Lakshmi is a homemaker and his son Sriram Rajamouli was named after the famous director Rajamouli who offered the role of Inkoshi, king of Kalakeyas in and gave him 'a new life'. He also has another son Ritvik Preetam.

Career

Prabhakar played a minor role as villain in Mahesh Babu's Athidi, directed by Surender Reddy and supporting artiste in his earlier career. He has starred in more than 80 All Indian Films.
His first film which made him recognized as an actor was MaryadaRamanna, which was produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineniand, directed by S. S. Rajamouli which was released on 23 July 2010. He also acted in Gabbar Singh, directed by Harish Shankar, Dookudu, Aagadu, Lion and many more, which played well at the box office. His latest flick Sarrainodu remained as the third highest grossing Telugu film. Prabhakar is currently acting in Right Right, directed by Manu, starring Sumanth Ashwin and Pooja Zaveri in which he plays a very important role. He is presently doing a film with Mohanlal.
