Puerto Rico statistical areas


The statistical areas of the United States and Puerto Rico comprise the metropolitan statistical areas, the micropolitan statistical areas, and the combined statistical areas currently defined by the United States Office of Management and Budget.
Most recently on March 6, 2020, the Office of Management and Budget defined 15 statistical areas for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, including three combined statistical areas, eight metropolitan statistical areas, and four micropolitan statistical areas. The table below shows the recent population of these statistical areas and the 78 municipios of Puerto Rico.
