Rachel Talbot Ross
Rachel Talbot Ross is an American activist and politician from Portland, Maine. Ross, a Democrat, represents the Parkside, Bayside, and Oakdale neighborhoods of Portland in the Maine House of Representatives. She was first elected in 2016 and re-elected two years later. She is a member of both the Health and Human Services Committee and the Judiciary Committee. She is the daughter of the first African-American legislator in Maine history, Gerald Talbot. Both she and her father are among a handful of African-Americans to serve in the Maine Legislature.
