Rev. Augustine Mulliner
The Rev. Augustine Mulliner is a recurring fictional character from the Mr Mulliner short stories of British comic writer P. G. Wodehouse, being a Mulliner nephew who rose from meek curate to married vicar thanks to the Buck-U-Uppo tonic.
Starting as a timid, pale young curate at Lower Briskett-in-the-Midden, he went on to marry his vicar's daughter Jane Brandon. He became secretary to the Bishop of Stortford. Augustine then became the vicar of Walsingford-below-Chiveney-on-Thames. His rise through the ranks of the Church of England was partially due to his uncle Wilfred's tonic Buck-U-Uppo.
