Saharsa Junction railway station is a main railway station in Saharsa district, Bihar. Its code is SHC. It serves Saharsa city. The station consists of 5 platforms. It's A category railway station of Samastipur railway division. Due to less railway facility,less expansion of rail network in Supaul & Madhepura district's people used to catch trains from Saharsa instead of their own stations. It is the main railway junction of this Division.
Saharsa jn rail yard is the first LHB coach maintenance yard in East Central Rail Zone. It is the top 50 rail ticket booking station in India and top 5 rail ticket booking station in ECR zone.
