Secretary of Budget and Management (Philippines)


The Secretary of Budget and Management is the head of the Department of Budget and Management and is a member of the President’s Cabinet.
The current Secretary is Wendel Avisado. He replaced DBM officer-in-charge Undersecretary Janet Abuel, who has been designated to head the agency from March 5 to August 5, 2019 after the appointment of two-time Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno as Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Diokno replaced Nestor Espenilla Jr., who died after fighting tongue cancer on February 23, 2019.
The department has four undersecretaries and four assistant secretaries.
