Termoli-Campobasso Railway


The Termoli-Campobasso Railway-line is a secondary railway which connect the coast of Molise through the Termoli railway station from where the Adriatic railway line passes with the regional capital Campobasso.
At Campobasso the railway continue to Venafro, is the Campobasso-Venafro railway, serve to connect province of Campobasso with the province of Isernia, the two province of Molise region.
The two Railway line together form the Termoli-Venafro railway.
The Railway divides the region into two by passing through the towns of the inner territory.
The Termoli-Campobasso Railway line is made up of 15 stations, of which at present only 8 are active, the others are abandoned or unopened for passenger service.

Hystory

The line was provided by the Baccarini Law.
On December 15, 2001, Castellino sul Biferno station, the Piane di Larino station and the station of Ripalimosani had been abolished for a long time no longer active.
On December 9, 2016, the service was suspended and replaced with bus.
