Virginia's 66th House of Delegates district
Virginia's 66th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 66 represents the city of Colonial Heights as well as part of Chesterfield County. The seat has been held by Republican M. Kirkland Cox since 1990. Cox served as the 55th Speaker of the House of Delegates from January 2018 to January 2020.

In the November 2017 election, Democrat Katie Ann Sponsler, an Air Force veteran and former park ranger who was then a stay-at-home mother, ran against Cox, a former public school teacher and coach.2019
