Vitaly Napadow
Vitaly Napadow is a Ukrainian-born American neuroscientist and acupuncturist. He is associate professor at Harvard Medical School and the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. He is also the director of the Center for Integrative Pain NeuroImaging and the co-president of the Society for Acupuncture Research. He is known for researching acupuncture and its effects on the brain. He has also researched the effects of nausea on brain activation, and differences in resting state brain connectivity associated with the intensity of spontaneous fibromyalgia pain.Biography
Napadow received his master's degree in acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2002 and his Ph.D. from the Harvard–MIT Program of Health Sciences and Technology in 2001. He joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School in 2004 as an instructor in radiology, where he became an assistant professor of anesthesiology in 2010 and an associate professor of radiology in 2014.
