Juan de Contreras y López de Ayala
Juan de Contreras y López de Ayala - XXth century Spanish historian, noble and academic. He was born on June 30, 1893 in Segovia and died on April 23, 1978 in Segovia. He graduated from the Universidad Central, the University of Salamanca. He was awarded the Grand Cross of the Imperial Order of the Yoke and Arrows, the Fastenrath award, the Grandee, the Grand Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic, the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts (Spain), the Gold Medal of Work Merit (Spain), the Grand Cross of the Civil Order of Alfonso X the Wise.
